The American Heart Association’s 54th Annual Greater Charlotte Heart Ball is the oldest black-tie event in the metro area and continues to be a long-standing tradition for many.  The event is chaired by Kevin Henry, a Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Lance Inc. and is sure to be a night to remember filled with dinner, dancing, and both a silent and a live auction!

Learn successful business and cultivation strategies for the developing hops industry.

Explore issues from economics to integrated pest and disease management and gain insights and resources to further your business idea.

This class will give the hops grower and home brewer tools and information that optimize your efforts and harvest. Some of the topics discussed include: the economics of the Hop Yard, "A Year in the Life of a Hop Yard", which will provide you with a simple step-by-step guide to the seasonal processes of hop cultivation, Nutrient Management Programs, and the unique perspective of a local brewer addressing industry processes, quality needs, and concerns.

Class runs 10 am - 5 pm on Thursday and 10 am - 3:30 pm on Friday. Immediately following the close of class on Friday there will be an optional brewery tour from 3:30PM - 5:00PM. Transportation not provided.
